When the doctor first told me at Madelyn's four month appointment that I could begin introducing solid foods - I gasped. I just didn't think my little baby was ready for that next step. (Maybe I just didn't want her to be ready...) But, as the month progressed, I realized she's now scarfing down 7-8 ounces of milk at a time and protests when she watches us eat in front of her. I reluctantly decided we would begin introducing at least rice cereal, and see how she does. My hopes would be that she would be eating 1-2 "meals" per day by 6 months.
Introducing food just seems like such a huge step, and I didn't want to rush into it. I thought for sure Madelyn would hate the experience, but she actually did a lot better than I was expecting. Go figure - the girl likes to eat. I wonder where she got that from - HA!
After the first taste, Madelyn started going for it. She even tried grabbing that spoon and pulling it towards her mouth. I have a feeling she'll be eating it up in no time, once she gets the hang of swallowing, that is!
Oh how sweet. I love all of the first. Nana loves you baby girl! xoxo
